THE BRIDGE BETWEEN COMMUNITY AND JESUS

THE BRIDGE BETWEEN COMMUNITY AND JESUS

Short Sermon:

Have you ever imagined the Church as a bridge between the community and Jesus Christ? In the book of Acts, we see a beautiful picture of the early Church—a community of believers who came together to worship, pray, and recharge their spiritual lives. They were united in purpose, not just for their own growth, but to extend the kingdom of God to others.

The Church is not just a building; it’s a living, breathing body of Christ. It’s where we connect with God and with one another. It’s where we find strength, encouragement, and direction to fulfill our calling. When we gather in His name, we are reminded that we are part of something greater than ourselves.

Yet, sometimes, we hesitate. We let busyness, distractions, or even laziness keep us from joining our church services. But remember, the Church is God’s chosen instrument to bring hope, healing, and salvation to the world. Your presence matters. Your participation matters. When you show up, you’re not just receiving; you’re contributing to the spiritual growth of the community.

So, let us not neglect gathering together, as Hebrews 10:25 reminds us. Let us come to church with eager hearts, ready to worship, to learn, and to be equipped for the work God has called us to do. The Church is the bridge—let’s walk it together, bringing the love of Christ to our communities and beyond. Amen.
